New Day Orphanage

The team arrived at New Day on Saturday afternoon where we were greeted by all of the staff and children.  What a wonderful welcome!  After dropping off our things at the volunteer house and M's home we went on a tour of the grounds.  It was cool to see such vision come to reality as we toured the school, orphan houses and land. 


On Sunday morning some of the team led the kids Sunday school time.  They taught the story of the four friends bringing the lame man to Jesus.  After teaching the story the kids acted it out and also played some games.

In the mornings before the work day begins, the staff goes through a devotional time together.  This week our team is helping to lead that time.  Tim had the opportunity on Monday to share from James about drawing near to the Father at all times.  The next day one of the staffers approached him and thanked him for his words.  She had been concerned for her niece that day who had been in labor for several hours and was worried that the she and the baby were in danger.  After Tim's devotion she and one of the M's were lifting her up when the phone rang with news that the baby had come and all was well.  The staffer then gave Tim the privilege of naming the baby.  I look forward to hearing what name he chooses.  This is just one way the Father has worked.

This week, some of the team has spent the morning teaching classes at the school like Bible, Tutorials, Art and P.E..

Bible Class

Margo and Brittany have been able to go to a local clinic a couple of times to and help administer some inoculations as well as assist the doctor.  They hope to be able to go to a local hospital later in the week as well.

The whole team has also taken turns working on some construction projects around the grounds as well as put on a soccer camp for the kids.  Pictures to come.

Thank you for continuing to lift us up.  We are loving our time here, the fellowship we are experiencing with other believers and the opportunity to be stretched and used by the Father.  Please specifically lift up an opportunity to share at a new location.  On Friday we will have a big soccer match and then share the Good News.  Also lift up an opportunity to put on a youth conference on Saturday.  We want to be used by the Father in both of these opportunities.  Please continue to ask that we would be unified and continue to be filled by Him.
